On September 9 Fortis priced US$500 million of 6.625 percent and US$500 million of 6.875 percent fixed-to-fixed rate junior subordinated notes due March 30, 2057. Settlement is September 21. Proceeds are slated to repay indebtedness and for general corporate purposes.
Fortis declared on July 29 a quarterly common share dividend payable September 1 to shareholders of record August 19. Fortis cited $12 billion of 2025 revenue and $77 billion of assets at March 31, 2026.
Fortis Inc. said July 31 that the province let FortisBC advance Tilbury Phase 1B, about $2 billion of regulated kit for marine LNG in the Port of Vancouver. An order in council on July 24 skipped the usual BCUC certificate. Steel is aimed at 2027. Service is aimed at 2031.
