On September 1 GFL said it closed the SECURE arrangement. Financing was revolver capacity, 75.1 million GFL shares, and a new US$1 billion term loan at about 5 percent. Over 2,000 SECURE staff join GFL. SES is expected to delist September 2.
ARC said August 25 Investment Canada cleared the Shell arrangement. Close is on or about September 2. The April deal is about $22 billion including net debt. ICA, Competition Act, transportation, and HSR approvals are in. Shareholder and court votes passed in July.
On August 31 Ranger said it agreed to buy STEP's U.S. coiled tubing assets for about $27.5 million, $22.5 million cash and $5 million of Ranger stock. The deal covers 13 spreads and about 220 people. Close is expected about September 11. STEP keeps Canadian fracturing and coiled tubing.
On August 13 Ensign said it completed the Citadel Drilling acquisition for US$65 million, subject to adjustments, funded with cash and credit facilities. All closing conditions were satisfied. Ensign cited a larger high-spec fleet in the U.S. Permian.
On August 12 Total Energy reported Q2 2026 revenue of $329 million, up 31 percent year over year, and net income of $26.8 million. Compression and process services backlog hit a record $554.5 million. The board raised the 2026 capex budget to $120.1 million.
On August 6 Calfrac reported Q2 2026 revenue of $426.7 million and net income of $31.8 million, up 108 percent year over year. Net debt fell to $125.8 million. The board later approved about $22.6 million of extra 2026 capex for Argentina coiled tubing and Vaca Muerta cementing.
