AESO Gave TransAlta 230 Megawatts at Keephills. That Closed the 1,200-Megawatt Interim Cap
The AESO says Phase 1 of its Large Load Integration program is complete. All 1,200 megawatts of the interim connection limit were allocated: 970 megawatts to GLDC and 230 megawatts to Keephills Data Centre Phase I. TransAlta's Keephills site is about 70 kilometres west of Edmonton.
