Emera Agreed to Combine With Canadian Utilities. Close Is Still 2027
Emera, ATCO, and Canadian Utilities said Tuesday they signed a definitive merger of equals. Combined enterprise value is about $72 billion. The company will operate as Emera. Close is the third or fourth quarter of 2027. That is an agreement. It is not a close and not a rate-case win.
