AESO Closed the 1,200-Megawatt Interim Queue. Phase 2 Is the Live Rulebook
The AESO says Phase 1 of Large Load Integration is complete and the 1,200-megawatt interim connection limit is fully allocated. Alberta's Data Centre Regulation, in force since June 2026, tells the operator to put projects that bring their own generation or storage at the front of the line.
