Emera Closed New Mexico Gas. The Cheque Is After-Tax Proceeds, Not a New Utility
On August 12 Emera said the sale of New Mexico Gas Company to Bernhard Capital Partners closed. The deal was first announced August 5, 2024. New Mexico regulators approved it July 30. After-tax proceeds were pegged at US$650 million to US$700 million against about US$1.25 billion of transaction value.
