The dividend is confirmation, not a new gas price view

Tourmaline Oil (TSX: TOU) said September 1 its board declared a quarterly cash dividend of C$0.50 per common share. Payment date is September 29, 2026, to shareholders of record September 15. The dividend is designated eligible for Canadian tax purposes.

Tourmaline's July 29 second-quarter release said the board intended a C$0.50 base dividend in early September with the same record and pay dates. This September 1 note executes that intention. It does not change production guidance or the AltaGas REEF liquids marketing agreement disclosed in July.

Tourmaline remains one of the largest Canadian gas producers on the listed book. A fifty-cent quarterly cheque is a capital-return marker in a sub-$3 Henry Hub tape.

Neutral read

TOU is on the listed producer list. Banks were skipped. C$0.50, September 15 record, and September 29 pay are the facts. Write this as dividend continuity, not as an AECO call. Watch whether special dividends return if free cash flow beats the base policy and whether Groundbirch-Monias and REEF export actually widen LPG netbacks in 2027.
