Thursday's storage number is U.S. working gas. It is not a Western Canadian field note

The EIA Weekly Natural Gas Storage Report, released September 24 at 10:30 a.m., put working gas in Lower-48 underground storage at 3,351 billion cubic feet as of Friday, September 18. That is a net increase of 53 Bcf from the week before. Stocks were 146 Bcf less than a year earlier and 95 Bcf above the five-year average of 3,256 Bcf. The print is inside the five-year historical range. The next release is October 1.

By region, East added 20 Bcf and the Midwest added 25 Bcf. Mountain added 3 Bcf. Pacific added 3 Bcf. South Central added 2 Bcf. Those are EIA implied flows, not Canadian injections.

No listed Western Canadian producer posted against this print. Tourmaline (TSX: TOU), Birchcliff (TSX: BIR), Peyto (TSX: PEY), and Advantage (TSX: AAV) did not put out a storage or AECO note overnight. TC Energy (TSX: TRP) did not post an NGTL update. This is the U.S. weekly. It does not set AECO. It is not a Canadian storage FID.
