The cheque records today. The Oregon index does not
Birchcliff Energy Ltd. (TSX: BIR) declared with its August 12 second-quarter results a quarterly cash dividend of $0.03 per common share for the quarter ending September 30, 2026. Payment date is September 29 to shareholders of record September 15. The dividend is designated eligible for Canadian tax purposes. That record is today.
The operating file next to the cheque is still market diversification, not a new Alberta well. In the second quarter Birchcliff signed physical delivery sales to the Malin hub in Oregon for 35,000 MMBtu a day, from January 1, 2027 to December 31, 2030, indexed to the NGI Malin monthly print net of tolls and fixed costs. That is a 2027 start. It does not change 2026 AECO volumes.
Second-quarter production averaged 77,562 boe per day, 84 percent gas, after a 35-day Pouce Coupe turnaround. Effective realized gas in the quarter was $3.00 per Mcf, which the company put at a 70 percent premium to AECO 5A. Most of the book is still Alberta. Malin is a slice that has not started.
